First post in the forum for me today. After many years of admiring others who had these cool trucks, I took the plunge and got me one of my very own. I had to keep in mind when looking that what I needed in my case was something that had been a project truck to someone which had grown tired or had other reasons for having to sell. To my amazement it was not long till such a deal come about due to health reasons of the previous owner.

Here is a description of what I got.
1986 Silverado
New 350 crate motor with less than 1000 miles according to the seller
New Holly 650 double pumper
New K&N complete filter set
New 4 core all aluminum radiator
New battery, windshield
Aluminum valve covers
Headers, with 3 inch true dual exhaust all the way back
New wheels American Racing Outlaw 15x10 all way around
New Cooper cobra radial GT's 60 series tires
Turbo 350 tranny
Rear end is a 4:56 gear ratio
Truck has been lowered, drop coils and spindles frame is not notched.
Condition of the body is very good, only the passenger cab corner has rust spot.
Paint is in fair condition, will work for now.
My only real work in the interior and it really is not in bad shape.
It already has a new headliner, dash cover, and carpet.
I need to redo the door panels and dash with something like what Stitch offers.
I also need to upgrade the seat to a 40/20/40 split with console.
Lots of odds an ends like new grille, rear roll pan , but I have a awesome platform to start with.

Here are some pics.

ayers311,

Winnfield is located about 30 miles east of Natchitoches, I'm sure you know where Natchitoches is. Actually if you form a triangle of the Towns of Ruston,Monroe, and Alexandria then you would see Winnfield right there in the middle of that triangle.

Thanks for the comments!

Nice truck man! I have an 86 as well, and just got back from taking it for a cruise. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I have enjoyed mine so far!
