1986 GMC Barn Door Suburban. Either gonna sell it whole, trade, or part it out. I don't know yet. Let me know if your interested. Would like to get $1300 for it as a whole, or $800 no motor/tranny. Has a 350/th350. Interior is in good shape. top of dash is cracked, and seat are decent. One will need a cover, or redone. Usual rust (rockers, bottem of doors starting, behind rear wheels). Was wrecked and redone in front end. Hood and front fenders have surface rust on them, but no holes at all. Front windshield is cracked, but rest of glass is in good shape. Was told that the 350 had a blown head gasket when I got it, but it seems to run fine. It does not have water in the oil at all. I have driven about 100 mile or so and it seems to be ok. I did notice a very light skim of oil in the radiator after driving it, but it was not mirky at all. Could just be an intake gasket, too. I am going to tear it apart one of these days, but just haven't done it yet.

if BigBlockBurris doesn't take the panels, I will take the chrome trim around the door handle.

suburban

If you start parting it out, let me know. I would be interested in the tinted glass of the 2 rear doors and the 2 quarter panel tinted windows also if they are factory tint and not film tinted.

Back bumper

If you end up parting it out, I'll take the rear bumper, filler panel, and mounting brackets. Just as long as the bumper is as straight as it looks in pics.

Old Chevy Lover 06-02-2003 10:10 AM

Ok. I'm going to give it 7 days. If I don't sell it, I will start parting it out. I will contact people in the order of posts here, so if there's something you need, or think you need, go ahead and post here. There are A LOT of good parts on this thing. If someone wanted it as just a roller (no motor, tranny), I would sell it for $800.

gldevall 06-03-2003 12:02 PM

What type of rear end does it have? Posi?? How much for it?

ElGracho 06-03-2003 05:59 PM

I'd like to have the front seats with tracks and console.

Old Chevy Lover 06-09-2003 04:29 PM

TTT - about ready to start parting out!! going once... going twice... $1300 complete / $800 no motor tranny worth way more than that in parts...

bstack 06-09-2003 10:46 PM

2nd in line for front seats and console!!

Old Chevy Lover 06-11-2003 02:19 PM

Well.. I am waiting on a guy to decide if he wants to take this in as partial payment on a trade. Will post the outcome.

CT-Truckster 06-14-2003 10:26 PM

What about the steering column, is it tilt? with cruise, and wiper and cruise switch and all in good shape?

gldevall 06-16-2003 09:21 PM

What's the deal? Is it going to be parted out? I may be interested in the trim on the dash for the air vents.

Hey Mods, how come these ads never expire?
If there is no search engine, It makes little sense to have ads hang around for 13 years. Literally 13 years! :-)
Expire it!
