Thanks 68Suburban (Pic of my new 67 burb)
I just want to publicly thank 68suburban for locating and facilitating the purchase of my new 67 suburban project.
This rust-free beauty is in Tucson and 68suburban is in Phoenix, some distance apart. He made two trips there to take pictures and to finalize the deal. He even located a set of rust-free barn doors for it and oversaw that exchange too! From time-to-time he has parts and vehicles for sale on e-bay. Do not hesitate to deal with him. He is a top notch guy. His e-bay name is dwninphx. Hey, that looks sweet...motor missing or is that the retro drag car look? Sort of miss that look! What are the specs and the plans?

Sweet looking Burb!!! I would love to get my hands on a rust free unit like that. Just curious, how much does something like that go for??

No motor or tranny (hence project). The real cost is x-country shipping. I am in NH.

I recommend vacationing out west, then driving one home, I've done it 3 times, and made out each time. Plus, it gives you time to calculate mileage, and if you have the family, can be a real adventure. My problem is that I always buy them to sell them, but then never do.
Incidentally, a 70 c30 402 auto with 4.10 rear gets 14.7 miles per gallon(loaded with 40 chevy parts), a 68 burb with 350, 3.07 and four gear gets 18.6, and a 67 catalina with 400 cid, unknown gear got 19.2. The old cars get way better gas mileage than new ones do. ------------------ jku 70 C30 CST Longhorn 68k10 burb 69 K5 beater 43 willys GPW 40 Chev coupe 67 catalina |
