Tuff Country springs install

Well I got to see Chris H on Saturday as he happened to be in the neighborhood and delivered the 4" lift Tuff country spring set he had. Everything looked nice. I waited until today to start the install. I had a little too much german beer at the Bayrischer Hoff that afternoon. Darn good stuff and carries a big kick to it too!

anyway, there isn't anything fun about changing out springs. The smell of burning rubber and burning hair is a combination I will not soon forget. All I can say is, there had better not be some real easy way to do this and I was too stupid to figure it out. I pretty much burned the rubber out of the way and then torched the bolts on each side of the spring to get the old ones out. Tomorrows task is to find 2 ea of 9/16"x4-1/2 and x5" bolts to finish installing the rear springs. The local hardware stores only carry grade 8 up to 4" long and absolutely nothing in the lower grades in 9/16".

Sounds like you found the easy way! :)

BTW did you get the brackets to move your front brake lines? They can be made really easy.

Yes, the brackets are there. Very simple to make if you had to. The only thing missing are the darn 9/16" bolts that I need.
