Andy,
I saw that burb and said the same thing. It looks like a great deal if you ask me.

Thanks for thinking about me and my hunt. When I've found Burbs and really started checking them out they have been either too rusty or we can't agree on a price, like on this attached one I've been dealing on since December. The price is okay but I'm a little apprehensive cause the owner says the trans pan is leaking and it doesn't shift right.

Click on the link to see the current ad. He was asking 3500.00 last December and as of Thursday the 7th still had it.

Call him and buy that thing! That's a great Suburban for the same money as that questionable one in NM. What a deal!

Maybe I should but I am a picky old bugger. What I like about the NM one is the fact that is a 72 Chev, not GMC, with the disc brakes, 5 hole wheels and dash A/C plus the orange and white 2 tone and the tailgate is solid. What I don't like about the Cali one is that its a 69, a GMC and has the roof A/C and by the sellers description the tailgate is rusty. I offered the guy in NM 2000 for the Burb the way it sits figuring he'd counter offer me at 2500 which I might pay.

The orange NM burb is SWEET!! If I didn't already have a 72 burb I would be all over that. Good luck with your search.

I finally got the Spid pic for the NM Burb. Has anyone ever seen the "Superlift Rear Shock" option before and know what it means as opposed to just Heavy Duty Shocks ? Anyone know what the "Special Promotional" option is? The spid also says deluxe wheel covers and I'm wondering if the ones on it in the above pics are the deluxe ones as I've never seen these before and they are ugly but I have 15 x 8 rallys waiting when I get my Burb. This Burb is optioned better than I thought. He countered my offer but didn't break his heart, I'm still pondering and yes I'm a pain !!!!.

Nothing wrong with being picky...it's your money. Best of luck with your search.

I have seen people on the message board say that the "Special promotional" package is another way the factory said it had the "Highlander" interior package (which would make sense because the tilt steering wheel is common in those). Also, I believe the deluxe wheel covers are the full wheel covers that have the fake lug nuts on them. The hubcaps that are on it now look like late 70s Ford truck hubcaps. In my opinion the NM burb is one of the nicer ones I have seen for sale lately. Very well optioned as well as bieng a clean original.

The wheel covers on the truck in the picture ARE the PA1 Highlander covers.
I have a "wanted to buy" ad on here now for the same ones.

I've looked at a few hundred Burbs the last few years and this one keeps coming back to me. It is still for sale on Craigslist and I think I may call the owner (again) this week and see if we can make a deal. If I get the Burb you have first dibs on the hubcaps and I'll be very reasonable with price. I wish the Burb was 500 miles away instead of 1500 cause it'll cost me almost as much as the Burb to get it home.

Thanks, I'm looking for a set for my restored truck so they'd have to be in good enough shape. When you go to look at it, look for an "air valve" for the shocks, somewhere in the back - maybe around the license plate area on the bumper. I seem to recall that's where some of them where. Good luck in your search !!!
