Re: need some clarification....
What exactly do you mean?

Re: need some clarification....
K10...maybe it's a typeing error.

Re: need some clarification....
The only 4x4 with the "K" emblem was a blazer. There would be a K in the vin number, but the emblems would still be the same for a 2wd. People see "C-10" on the fender, but it is a 4x4. Hope that makes sense.

Re: need some clarification....
easier way to look at it...
ALL chevy pickups were BADGED as a C/10, C/20, or C/30. ALL blazers were badged as K/10. The VIN is what deterrmines if it is a c or a k series, and people not in the know, don't look at the VIN or model number to describe the truck, they look at the badge. |
Re: need some clarification....
C=2wd K=4wd. Those designations have been used for many years . It is also like the s-10 were all lumped together but the s= 2wd and T =4wd. But like said before for the sake [of maybe simplicity] only c's were used on the badges. Badges badges we don't need no stinking badges. Jim

Re: need some clarification....
Why do some C-10's have Custom/10 badged and other only C-10? What's the difference?

Re: need some clarification....
option package... custom was a trim level

Re: need some clarification....
Only '69s and '70s had a "C" on the base model badge. I can see the confusion with those. Technically a K-model '69 or '70 base model would be still be a C/10 just as the others are still Custom/10 or CST/10. I'd still say "a K-model C/10" before I'd say "a 4wd C/10" just because that makes it clear it's a factory 4wd. If I had a '69 or '70 base model I would call it a K/10 and leave it at that. I just add Custom or CST and call it a K/10 Custom or K/10 CST because it is first a K/10 then a trim package. I always describe 2wds as C/10,Custom/10,CST/10,etc. because 2wd is the standard configuration.

Re: need some clarification....
I think a lot of it is people simply using c-10, as a generic term when referring to these trucks.

Re: need some clarification....
That's goes along the same lines as people with 2 wd blazers calling them K5s. Is that one correct?
|
Re: need some clarification....
Oddly enough, yes. All blazers are K/5s,2 and 4wd. By the vIN they are K/10s and C/10s. are you confused yet?
