First, a 1/2 ton, then 3/4, now 1 Ton!
4 Attachment(s)
So, first came the 67 1/2 ton shortie, then now I am working on the 68 3/4 ton panel, and in the very near future, I am buying a new home just a few blocks from where I live now. So in order to make the move easier, why not just buy a 1 ton box truck!
Dragged this out of some trees, new battery, fresh fuel and it runs great! Buddy of mine brought this 5 years ago to help him moved, and then he parked it, non-opt it, and used it as storage. It is a 69-70 front end, however, the title says 71 but it is not original vin tag, so I can't verify the year, but cab has door vent. Very little rust and only other issue is one leaking wheel cylinder at driver rear wheel. Gotta wash it still, and then do the rear brakes and then I can start packing stuff into it. |

Hey John. That'll be handier than a pocket on a shirt. Of course it'll need to be bagged, just to make loading / unloading easier, right? ;)

ya, sorry, not bagging this one. Going to use it to move and then after that, take a chance on storage auctions when not using to for taking truck parts to swap meets.
Nothing extra came with the truck, PO still has some of his parts in the back. |

That's a greatly useful truck there John. Nice find. Let me know when you're used to owning that and I'll help you find a C/40.

It looks like a lot of the rear brake parts are still available. The drums are NOT. Hope that when you get in there they have some life left in them. I have a dually that I'm tinkering with the brakes on right now.
