Help me with my codes Posi traction gear ratio for 1g8010
 

My suburban is a base model Vin CCE162F117388 307 PS, 3 on tree manual, PB, discs, posi that about it.

Can this tell me the rear axle gear ratio?

That just tells you it is a possi axle. You need the letters off of the rear axle housing to get the ratio. WES

check the passenger side axle tube....typically along the top....might need a mirror to see it if it's still installed:D

I think with the 307 engine it would have come with 3.73s stock.

3.73 unless optioned otherwise, which this one isn't

Thanks for the replies. I bet its 3.73 but I'll have to crawl underneath it and spin the tire 1x around and see how many the pinion turns.

It is a low option Sub.

What it lacks in options it makes up for double in rust.

I have a Chevelle a little like this sub in options.

I couldn't believe it has a posi rear. Must have wanted it for getting around in the Illinois winters.
