Help with truck find
 
Well i was out back at work today digging threw some of the old piles of junk from when this place used to be a John deer dealer and i found this cab back in the woods behind our steel yard talked to my boss who had no clue it was there and it is now mine :metal: Anyways reason for posting it is that i honestly have o clue about this old of trucks? And have no clue to tell what it is so simple question i hope Someone can let me know what year and type of truck this is? I am guessing chevy but who knows... All i know its going to low and trashy lol

Well i got it up out of the 10' cliff it got dumped down to the ditch it was in but still don't know what it is :lol: will get better pictures tomorrow closing time here.

looks like a '39 Chevrolet. The earlier ones had another body line above the door handle but I'm guessing

A guess is better then nothing my guess was 41 but was completely uneducated lol

On a side note i got it out of the ditch before i left work here she is sitting up at the shop.

Looks like a 1937 Ford to me.

I think you are correct just searched some pictures and all the body lines line up and the fire wall looks the same something that was not matching up with any of the chevys i was looking at

Yes sir. I work at a steel yard lol makes it kinda easy got the tubing for the frame and bracing the cab today have a old wagon chevy for a donor car that has 350/350 combo and tittle and going with a solid axle up front of some sort tractor grill open motor going for around 2-1/2'' off the ground cab is not going to be touched other then putting the floor in taking the gas tank out and chopping it (After everything else is done) It has all the old gauges in it i will keep them even though they don't work lol

Im sure my plans will change alot before i get it home from work though lol
