Vac. line ?

I just pulled my gauge cluster out to put in a new oil gauge and I found a vac-line under the dash and it's not hooked to anything.
I follow it through the firewall and the other end is plugged into the left front vac port on the carb (1406 Edel.) What should the other end be plugged into?

Here is a pic of the line I'm talking about..

Thanks
John

Could go to a vacuum gauge that use to be installed.

Looks like you have A/C could be one of those lines..............

Where is it routed thru the firewall?

The truck never had a vac- gauge. The arrow points to the spot on the firewall where it runs through. I'm not real sure if it belongs in the cab or not . Anybody know where it should be hooked up?

thanks

The hose on my truck in that location connects the washer bottle to the pump under the dash

That would be my other choice, my trucks torn apart now. but hard to see in the dark..............

I guess I'll just take the hose off and put a nipple over the port on the carb, It's not hooked to anything anyway.

Thanks for the replies
John
