Has it been done....

I have a 87 silverado and would like to put a 77 rear bumper on my truck.. I know that my bumper is 76in and the 1977 bumper is 78in.s.... .. 1in of space is on both sides...

The only thing I remember being different was the brackets are model specific to the bumper (73-80 model brackets for the 73-80 model bumper).
