4 link
i found this universal triangulate 4 link kit on CL and i was just wondering if i would be able to use it on my 68. here are the specs he gave me, adjustable 3/4-16 RH rod ends, 1" 3/16 wall tubing (2)36" bars (2)24" bars, 1/4" thick tabs, grade 8 hardware. any info would help thanks.

Re: 4 link
Anyone have an opinion?

Re: 4 link
A bit on the short side, but if the price is right it could be made to work.

Re: 4 link
yeah i figured out that i could make it work if i was just trying to replace the stock trailing arms suspension with the 4 link but since im baggin the truck and trying to mount the bags over the bars this wasnt an ideal set up...thanks tho

Re: 4 link
i will vouch for Porterbuilt....Nathan has to be hands down the best Ive ever done business with. I run a repair shop and Nathan has been always there to help. I have just about all his products on my 70 and Ill tell you that everything is top notch and worth ever penny. I could not be happier to look at this work of art but more importantly the pride taken when parts are produced for our trucks. My truck is being built to last and Porterbuilt Street Rods is the cats meoww.!!! Hope this helps any. ::::::::::MEMBERS ONLY::::::::::::::

Re: 4 link
is your a trailing arm truck? if so... why would you want to change that?
|
Re: 4 link
i changed mine because of room ..... for the air tank, for exhaust, it frees up the center of your frame for other stuff, if you have moved your fuel tank to the back the only other space was in front of the rearend ,between the frame rails
