Dually axle?
I am putting tons under my burb. If I find a dually rear axle, can I use a C&C or standard? Or both? I dont mind ordering specific backspace wheels. Thanks, Bradley

Re: Dually axle?
I have seen C&C dually rear axles under a regular long wide bed. It still had dual wheels on it, however I do not know if any modifications had to be made to the inner fenders.
I think the regular dually axle would be better, though a regular 1 ton would be best. With front and rear dually axles though you could run stock HMMWV beadlocks, though I am sure you already knew that... |
Re: Dually axle?
Roughly half way down the page it shows the different 14-bolt WMS's, and the difference in axles.

Re: Dually axle?
So it doesnt matter if I get a standard or C&C rear? As long as the wheels have the correct backspace? Anyone know what the width of a 10 bolt rear is? Thanks Altec for the link, I have it bookmarked and forgot all about it.

Re: Dually axle?
Seems that way. I'd still try to find a proper SRW. That way your not stuck with either having to have different spares, risking not having a spare, and being able to do a proper tire rotation...

Re: Dually axle?
Yeah, but $150 for a C&C 3:73 rear is a nice price. :P

Re: Dually axle?
Cab & Chassis rear is 63.5" wide & regualr dually is 72" wide.
