center consoles any help?
 

I have an 87 swb w/ buckets and want a center console box to house a 12 inch subwoofer. anybody got any pics or know any company's out there that build them for a half decent price? thanks.

I don't know of any companies that make a console to fit a 12 inch sub except maybe JL Audio and they are $$$$...also I think they probably only come with a 10 inch sub...you'll probably have to make it to get what you want unfortunately...

Talk to a audio shop local to you most can build it for you,If you have to call a few and ask about price quotes and look at the work they have done before.

get some MDF & build one your self...jus build tha box for tha speaker itself to tha specs of a pre built box. get some 1x's 1/4 plywood & make tha rest of tha console out of that.

Check ebay...there are guys on there that do custom work too.

I think you would be able to build yourself one too....just google it and there will be lots of 'how to' arcticles in magazines that explain how.

Just need about 2 weekends and a few basic sanding tools. If you have a buddy that can cut the MDF for you to fit your sub, you're laughing because the rest is just stretching mat and coating it with glass & goop.

It really depends on how nice you want it to look. Most of the "home made" console speaker boxes I have seen look more like a small dog house than a console.
