New here too
Hi am new to the board as well but have been active on other boards during previous bouts of insanity with other vehicles most recently 5 Mustang Cobras in a row. I think I have that one out of my system and now I am buying my Father in laws 66 C20 lwb cs with a 327/TH400 heavy duty suspension and working A/C. It is a one owner Cali truck with no rust just waiting for good weather on the passes to bring it out here. He recently repainted and restored it so can't wait to get back into the truck craze. Thanks for providing this resource.

Welcome to the forum :D
That's a real nice looking truck. Do you have any plans to change anything, or is pretty much every thing done the way you like it? |

Re: New here too
Are you looking at the Hotchkis TVS kit?

I haven't looked at that kit closely, but I'm thinking you can achieve the same results for less $$ by being resourceful and with help from guys on this forum.

Re: New here too
The lowering springs, tubular control arms, dropped spindles and such are all available from less expensive sources. You can also install a 1-1/4" front sway bar from a '73-'87 C20 truck for increased handling. Those can be found in wrecking yards for fairly cheap. And as for those adjustable front trailing arm brackets, I believe a couple members here were doing that before Hotchkis offered them. look here....

Re: New here too
Is that truck Silver and White? I think I just found my color combo (or very, very close to it!)
Do you have any better pictures and where is that truck coming from? It looks familiar (actually the signs on the garage do). |
Re: New here too
That is one nice machine, man. Welcome to the forum!

Re: New here too
That's a nice truck! I really like the '66s with the 327/th400 and A/C. That's a great combination. I have a buddy that owns one (C-20) with the same options as yours, and it's a nice driving truck.
