Moog coil springs or TRW.

I was told that Moog bought TRW. Do you think TRW springs are as good as Moog springs? Thanks

I dont know.

I got my moog coils from rockauto.com cheaper than anybody else had at the time. Even with shipping and all they were cheaper by about $15 than any of the local places.

My understanding is that while both brands are owned by the same company. The parts are not the same. For example, Moog and TRW ball joints are different. As for springs, I have no idea. Since most springs on these old trucks are still fine it never struck me as much of a wear item.

I'm replacing the coil springs, because the PO put 2 inch shorter coils in the truck. I need to raise it up 2 inches. He put 2 and 1 half inch drop spindles in it also. It sits to low in the front. He put a flip kit in the rear. Hopefully this will level the truck out.

If you are looking for level with the flip in back you are still going to need something shorter than stock springs. With just the 2.5" spindles and a flip kit you are looking at 2.5" in front and 5-6" in back which will give you a rear rake. Might consider grabbing some springs off another truck and cut on them till you get the stance you like. 1/2 a coil = roughly 1".

Moog and TRW I don't think you'd notice a difference in quality.
