NV4500 pics

I am in the process of installing a tbi 350 and 5 speed (nv4500) out of a 92 chevy truck into my 59 chevy truck. Right now the shifter is hitting the seat, so I want to move it forward, but I dont want the motor to interfere with the radiator.

Can I get some pics of where the shifter comes up through the floor, and how far forward the motor sits relative to the radiator.

Thanks

Wouldn't it be easier to rework the shifter instead of moving the engine forward? I might be on the wrong page with you. But, couldn't you put a forward bend in the shifter to clear the seat?

The factory shifter does have quite a bend in it. I'll try to heat it up and bend it straight.

BTW, checked out both of your build threads, the trucks look awesome!

Thanks for the kind words and checking out my builds. You should post some before and after shots. If it works out, It'll help someone else with the same setup.

So the transmission is actually a NV3500. Anyways I ended up heating up the shifter and bending it pretty close to straight.

The only oops is when I didnt fully disassemble the shifter and melted two plastic bushings.

Overall i'm pleased with the results. Now the shifter clears everything.
