Trying to find a hood emblem
 

Hey everyone!

I'm trying to find where i can buy a new front emblem for a 1953 GMC 1/2 ton

I have seen new ones on people's trucks but am looking for who sells them....i have checked many websites and they all pretty much have chevy fronts and the gmc sides but not the fronts.

Any help would be appreciated guys...thanks!:metal:

Classic Parts has some of them as well as letter decals to redo your old one. Link is here:

Looked like they were mostly chevy ones though.

If your lookig for the "GMC" emblem that goes on the grill srround, I am not aware of anyone reproducing this piece. I ended p getting mine rechromed, was a whopping $300.00. Ouch!

Thanks guys! I am in need of the one Kid has a picture of (of course the most expensive and hard to find one). I have the original but would really like a new chrome piece or either I will just have it painted white (like my grille) and put it on that way. If you guys know of any that are out there let me know...i have been scouting ebay and need one to finish this project :) Thanks guys!

i can see what the local yard that i go to wants for the one he has if you are intrested. it will need some cleaning up.

thanks 54Jimmy! send me a picture before you get it though (conditon of it and all the good details! :metal:) - like i said i have mine but mine just needs some serious cleaning or painting white and it would be good to go. Thank you so much for your assisstance!
