Q-jet experts.....jets/rods?

Anyone know what the original size primary and secondary metering rods as well as the original size jets would've been for my carb? My carb # is 7042211. Nothing in my shop manual that says. I'm thinking the primary jet would've been .070 but I'm not SURE of that.
Gonna do a overhaul on it and want to be sure I start from the factory setup or close to it. I know some people think they are quadrajunks but I disagree.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hey, that's the original carb for your pickup!

Sorry, I don't know the original jet/metering rod sizes. Someone told me that an ACDelco dealer would have a book that would have that info. I thought that my local Chevy dealer would be an ACDelco dealer, but I think they are just stupid. They didn't even know what a jet was.

Yeah, I know......most eveything on the truck is original other than the mirrors it has on it. Actually, the carb is probably set up with the original jets and rods but I won't know for sure until I know how it was set up originally. Called the local AC Delco joint and they can't tell me. The Chev dealer parts counter gives me a blank stare...............

Thanks CKHD

Anyone else?

When you tear into it, I'd like to know what jets/rods are in it... If you wouldn't mind posting that info.

Anyone else? I still haven't found any info. Anyone with any books that might tell what was original?

gman,

Maybe these guys know. Some carb outfit.

For jets and metering rods, they tell you to specify size or carb #. I would call them, but I left my %^# phone at home so I can't call long distance.

CKHD,

You're the man, dude. Allstate Carb told me the original jets were the .074" and the primary metering rods are the .043". Thanks much. Now, it'll be interesting to find out if thats what I have in my carb.

Thanks again.

Oh..........he couldn't tell me the secondary rods right now. They were pretty busy and he had to use a part number, to then go and get the rod to see the size of it.
