67 C30 dually air ride questions

Just brainstorming here. Ride tech makes the air bar systems for the 73-91 C30 trucks but nothing for the 67-72 trucks. Does anyone know if the air bar could be used on the pre 73 trucks or are they quite a bit different?

Would it be easier to just start with a 73+ frame and just change the cab mounts and front frame horns?

I'm looking for the simplest way to make a 67 bagged dually that can still hual a load/pull a trailer.

Thanks for any help/suggestions,

The best thing to do(what I would do)is to get the front x-member and suspension from a 73-91 C30 and graft it on the 67-72 C30 frame, and for the rear, use the 73-91 rear-end and modified air suspension. The frames IIRC are different widths.

It depends on your starting point. Will you start w/a 67 C30 or are you using a 67 body on a different chassis?

The front suspensions are the same so 73-87 stuff is definitely the way to go. If you have a 67 C30 chassis, I think there would be enough differences that it would make using the bolt-on 73-87 HD rear AirBar kit not cost effective.

The AirBar kit is priced because of bolt-on installation ease & the parts. Take away the installation ease & it's just the parts..... universal HD 4-bar set-ups can be had for much less.

If you're starting w/a 3/4 ton 67 chassis & making it a dually, it could be leaf or truck arm. To me, the quickest, easiest, way to a slammed 67 dually that totes a load w/o issue & rides low would be a using a 3/4 ton truck arm chassis & build/modfiy it for some custom truck arms to accomodate the 4"OD axle tubes.

All good options. I haven't bought anything yet. Just trying to look at all the options and figure out the best route to take. Actually looked at a 67 gmc c30 last night but the price and condition weren't really what I'm looking for. Priced high and not in the best condition... Going to go look at a 72 chevy tonight. It's anybodys guess on what kind of shape its in. Also know where an 80's dually rolling chassis is that I might be able to get for a decent price and/or get parts off of.
