A/C Cab and Short Step Arrived Today!!

I'll tell ya what. Board member jacquesdean delivered my new 71 A/C cab and short step bed today, and he is one stand up guy to do business with.

Jock owns a powder blasting shop in Sneed Alabama. Actually he uses aluminum oxide and a microscopic slag media to blast parts, then he uses an etching primer to seal everything.

Well, any how, I bought the cab and step bed from him already done, and can't wait until everything is ready for paint.

Here's a pic of me with the load as it got to Memphis.

Here's a pic of everything set up in the yard.

It's amaising what a little yankee enginuity and a little sweat two guys can accomplish. Thank god we both have beer guts to use as leverage:D

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, he took my short fleet bed as partial trade for the works.

Now all I have to do is cut my old cab off, so I can start the frame restoration:p

Everything tucked away for safe keeping.

My neighbors ought to really love me now:D

Re: delivery

Well board members, I must say Don is a great guy, a pleasure to deal with. Took me 4 hours from my shop in Alabama to Memphis to make the delivery, great directions from Don.

Enjoyed my trip, seeing more of this great nation.

Thanks Don, I made it home safely.

Progess Pics and Completion Date

Blue Beard,

I will have pics as the progess of the project continues.

Mechanically it is almost complete, as the 350 engine is rebuilt with mild performance, the 350 tranny is rebuilt, as is the 205 t-case. I have custom drive shafts installed, as well as 3/4 ton axels and suspension installed.

I am hoping for a completion date in 4-5 months, depending on time and money allocation.

Thanks for all the comments from everyone, and if your in the south and looking for a quality and reputable blasting shop, I highly recommend talking to Jock in Sneed Alabama.
