15X10 wheel question

2 Attachment(s)
I have been looking for some 6 lug slots, the 15x10 are much more common than the narrower ones..
do any of you know/or are any of you running 15X10's on the rear of a 60-66 fleet, and lowered?
will they fit, or too wide for a lowered truck?

Re: 15X10 wheel question

it depends on the offset of the rims. my 22x10 with a +22mm offset and a 2 inch spacer in the rear. my truck is lowered also

Re: 15X10 wheel question

With an original width rear end, I think they will barely fit. I test fit a set of 15 x 10 wheels and tires on my '66 Suburban once. The tires were really close to the outer lip, but I think if you rolled that lip a little they would be okay.

I wish I could find a set of 6 hole slots around here.

Re: 15X10 wheel question

Most 15X10 wheels I come across are usually 3.75" backspace, and like Captainfab says, they are super-close to the fender lip. Most of the time they will rub, unless the truck is either stock height or lifted.

I have found that you need at least 4.5" to 5" of backspace to make everything clear. But....your 6-lug wheels might have a different backspace. The info I posted was from the 5-lug 15" wheels I have bought in the past.

If that blurb is true about the slots being $60ea or $200 for the set, you need to grab them RIGHT NOW. That's a great deal!!
