Hey guys, tried out this product called Dupli-color Metalcast. i've had my eye on for awhile. It tints chrome and makes it look anodized.Lots of little chrome things in the truck, door handles, window cranks, glove box lock, shift tilt turn signal lever. We tried it out on clutches on one of our Drag sleds and it was durable in extreme low and high temperatures. It is available in about 5 different colors.i liked the blue best(black interior).

Where did you get it? I have been looking for that stuff for about 4 months, ever since it came out.

I got it at a store called Canadian tire up here. But i think i remember seeing this at Wal-Mart.If not Try Hires Auto Parts http://www.hiresautoparts.com/ or you may find something closer to you by going to http://www.google.ca and do a search for duplicolor metalcast

Hey Twisted metal... does that dupli-color metalcast wear off with touching it ?? like when you roll up the windows.
Does it stick real good.??
How did you prep the chrome before you painted it? Questions, Questions,

I'm going to Canadian Tire tomorrow to get my Cherry Bomb Mufflers they are on sale this week for $26.39, so I'll check the colors on the dupli-color while I'm there.

I've used it on my CRX & it works great. It actually looks like anodized aluminum, no orange peel look, like with normal spray paint. It hasn't worn off yet where I used it.

That could be a Napa product.............

Hey bill,we tried it out on one of our race sleds and clutches i'm sure were pretty hot at times.as for durability they still look great after those clutches being serviced and ripped apart to make changes about 30 times.he sanded them with 400 first like the can said.i didn't do that with the handles tried it without and seems ok.something like a door handle or stuff that we touch lots you would probably want to give it more light coats.:bowtie: :canada:

Russell used to make that stuff years ago and it was pretty cool glad Duplicolor brought it back. Duplicolor is sold at all Pep Boys & Advance Auto parts near me . Now I can't find the black polyurethane in a can anymore. DAVE
