no response from a bad sale

I am a relatively new member. I recently bought some parts from a member that were not were not what they were representd to be. This was a week ago and the seller will not return emails and did not leave his phone number.
To make the sale , the seller returned emails within minutes of my questions. This sale was made outside of the club classifieds. I dont want to mention names yet.
I have been involved in this hobby (obsession) for 35 years. I have only been burned a handful times. I might have let my guard down on this one.

No longer an issue. Thanks for everones help

Not much we can do unless it was done on the board,... per forum rules.
This is why transaction in the classified area, have to be out in the open.
Transactions via PM is prohibited.
You might contact one of the Admins.

You should post something in the Bad Deals area if you feel the seller has had ample time to respond. No matter how you went about handling this deal, the rest of us need to know of a member here who doesn't deal right. Also, usually, once a member sees the issue inin the public eye they want to square it away ASAP.

Not sayin' you are wrong. But also remember when someone gets "called out" in an open forum... they will defend themselves.

I've seen more than enough on multiple forums where a thread like this starts out in the buyers favor, until the seller comes aboard to tell their side of the story.

Threads like this usually end bad.

Bad deal threads need to be in the bad deal area. They need to have proper information and facts in them.

I disagree. Whether the blame lies with the seller or buyer or a little of both, working it out is a good thing. Having no communication is the bad thing. Check out the other threads and see how many turned out bad. I hope this gets worked out. If you haven't already,I'd send a PM letting this person know about this thread.
