What shocks for a bagged front end?
I know this should probably go in the suspension section but I wanted to know what others have done with the 60-66 front end. Mines a 73-87 xmember that I put bags in. I didn't really modify anything other than remove the bump stops. When its aired out there is 8"s from the upper shock mount to the lower. Has anybody else found anything that lets the truck go all the way down and then back up without topping out the shock? Thanks, Heath

There are some aftermarket upper shock mounts that allow you to run longer shocks. I believe Portebuilt and Quality Air Ride both make them. May have to trim/modify the inner fenders though.

CPP has the shock relocation kits, they around $35 last time i checked them on ebay.. Then you can use belltech nitro drop shocks..

Re: What shocks for a bagged front end?
If you wanna do it on the cheap, I have 1949-50 Chysler Ney Yorker shocks on the front of my truck. They are one of the shortest out there and the price was less than 25 each. I dont remember the brand, but I think it was from Napa.
