Rear seat fold down mechanism
 

How can I release the cable to fold down the rear seats? The single jump seat, folds down quickly. The cable mechanism works great. The large portion of the seat has a hard time releasing. I can nearly pull all the latch all the way up. It does not release. If I ccould see the latch, I would use something to release it.

mine had french fries and drywall mud stuck in the works. pull handle while wiggling the seat back helped.
then I removed the seat and PB Blasted the works followed with blowgun repeatedly.
