I hate Windows 88 S10 Blazer
Ok so i have been messing with my passenger window for quite some time now.. Went and got a new regulator and new motor+ new switch... got everything installed, it works however it will only go down.. and only from the passenger switch on the drivers side control. So thinking it might be the wiring, pull the little plastic clip apart that the switch plus into (on the passenger side) but i was stupid and did not look at the wires before i did this.. Anyone have a clue at which order the wires go back into the clip or any other suggestions on getting the window to work? the wire colors are: blue, blu/white, red, tan, grey. Any help would be awesome. Oh yes and i discovered the regulator acts like a bear trap when removing the motor without disengaging the spring first :p glad to still have my fingers.

Re: I hate Windows 88 S10 Blazer
When I get home, I can look in my manuals to see if the window motor wiring is in there - should be.
Otherwise, feel free to come on over to www.s10planet.com - someone there might be able to answer before I can. |
Re: I hate Windows 88 S10 Blazer
You have a bad door switch. Not sure which switch because the wiring feeds through both switches. I've had a couple of s10s in my time.

Re: I hate Windows 88 S10 Blazer
I just realized that the wiring in the manual probably isn't going to help - you need pin-out of the wiring going into that connector. So you pulled apart the wiring at the driver's side master switch? I may be able to pull my truck down enough to get to that...

Re: I hate Windows 88 S10 Blazer
So i went to the dealership got the wiring diagram.. Have it all wired up.. New motor only goes down not up. tried switching wires nothing. Got a new master switch and passenger switch.. Still only goes down not up. I have signal in both wires to the motor however switching them did nothing it wont go up or down. Tried another new motor same issue.... Any ideas or anyone know which vehicle to pull a manual regulator w/ hand crank that will fit?
Thanks for the help BTW |
Re: I hate Windows 88 S10 Blazer
@ Tink, no it was the passenger side but i got the wiring issue resolved... However there is no signal from the master switch for up or down to the passenger window.. checked for broken wires, pulled the dash apart everything seems good... Its very very frustrating
