Step VS Sport
What are your opinions on the Step and the sport bumper....which do you like better?

Re: Step VS Sport
Andy is going to blow a gasket for you calling it sport bumper;), but I say sport bumper.

Re: Step VS Sport
I like the sport bumpers on 2WD trucks that are lowered, or "cruiser type" trucks, and step bumpers for Long bed 4X4 work truck types.
I think all short beds look better with sport bumpers, 2 or 4wd. Darren |

Re: Step VS Sport
Chrome bumper. The step bumper is a work truck item. It isn't often that I use a truck for work, anymore. Dress it up....and I'm good.

Re: Step VS Sport
I have a lowered truck that I still use to pick things up in, yes it has a step bumper but I'm looking into getting a sport bumper(Mainly to get some garage space back). I have a 21' garage with a 17' truck parked in it. It would be nice to turn on my compressor without being a contorsionest. Never the less I still have a huge 8' box. Step is good, sport looks better. In my opinion.

Re: Step VS Sport
i always hated the way my truck looked with a step bumper.. imo it looks much better now with the sport. i had never had to use the "step" part of the bumper and i haul stuff on occasion. if i ever have to climb in i just step on the tire and over the side.

Re: Step VS Sport
best of both worlds, sport bumper w hidden hitch. My truck is a TRUCK if I didn't need a truck I'd get a musclecar. Until then I'll keep my hotrod truck and tow and haul whatever I want.

Re: Step VS Sport
I like my step, makes it look fuunctinal and tough, but if I had a shortbox it may be otherwise.
