Plans for a Flatbed
Hey Everyone, I am a new member to this forum and I have found a lot of helpful things. I currently own a 1996 C/K 2500 truck with a reg cab and an 8 ft bed. However, my bed is rusting out really bad. I have considered finding a new bed, but I would rather build a flatbed for it. Does anyone have any plans or pictures that might be able to get me on my way? Thank you.

Welcome Aboard from Floridua !
Sorry, Can't help with plans....Do a google image search for a flat bed you like then start building. I found this pic on-line, The company wanted $8 G for one ! http://i107.photobucket.com/albums/m...ransporter.jpg I used that pic to design and built this one for $1200; http://i107.photobucket.com/albums/m...orter_0061.jpg Assuming you were speaking of a steel flat bed...... |

Re: Plans for a Flatbed
Here's a few links to some who have done it. Should be about the same for any truck.

Re: Plans for a Flatbed
Rob, that sucker is unique. In your pic, is the structure already elevated? The red one looks like the rams have raised the uprights to their vertical position.
So, just what do you use it to lift? I can see it being used to hold a cab for maintenance....or did you build it for a specific use? |
