68 k20 body mounts
I've done a preliminary search both on here and google, but I've come up inconclusive, and I don't have a lot of time on the internet over here (afghanistan)
Before I do my Cummins conversion when I get back to the states, I want to put new body bushings in my 68 k20, but I've been unable to find out if they're the same as the 1/2 tons and/or the same as the 2wd. If they are, it's easy to find bushings. Anyways, I was wondering if any of ya'll have replaced the bushings in a 68 k20 burb and if so, are they the same as a c10 or do I need to track down a supplier? I'ld prefer rubber due to the vibration of the motor and flexing off road. Thanks, Andrew |
Re: 68 k20 body mounts
When I did mine, there wasn't a vendor making reproductions of the K20 Suburban.
After a lot of stare and compare with a local vendor (Golden State Trucks), we found that the Blazer mounts were identical. So by combining two sets of Blazer mounts, I was able to do all of them on my K20 Suburban though I had to buy the nuts/bolts/washers separately. Now a days, I could swear that there is a vendor out there making K20 burb mounts. |

Re: 68 k20 body mounts
bought a poly/graphite kit for my 72 burb c20 from CPP. comes with new hardware (although my original hardware is in good shape).
