Probably mostly localized to your right index finger if you paint the whole truck, but your back might get tweaked from bending and standing. I suggest taking a couple of Advil before you begin.

Re: military trucks.

I drove a military themed 60-66 Chevy short bed step side in the Marines at MCAS Yuma back in 1967-68. It was battleship gray with stenciled letters on the door. They said something like “Property US Marine Corps, for official use only, and the serial number”. Sorry no pictures.

But I suppose you mean something more like a camouflage paint job. Here’s an earlier thread that might be what you’re looking for:

Hey that looks nice :) I recommend going back and doing the grill surround area in white tho...that will set it off real slick. That OD with a white star and white accents will be sharp man. Keep the pics coming :metal:

Looking good. When I had my VW I used Rustoleum Camo paint in Army Green. Came out pretty good. Thinking of doing something similar to my C10 in tan though.....

This isn't a 60-66 or even a Chevy for that matter but it is a really nice truck to use for inspiration...

You can see more of it here...

Re: military trucks.

thanks for the kind words guys.. No paint for the bumper, grille, or side moldings. the

headlight face plates are painted. today i just finished tearing off the wood n

rusted strips off the bed. i will be taking the bed apart and painting it over the

weekend...hopefully!! the bed had two layers of wood, the original wood n strips on

the bottom with the top layer of plywood and another set of bed strips .. lucky me.

the original strips were a mess.. rusted thru like swiss cheesse
