where were u thinking of taking out the 3/4 for the cab mounts could probly work just fine with a little planing but i think u might run into a problem with the rear cross sill its notched for the wood not shorter

Re: 3/4 inch body drop
You'd do all this for a mere 3/4"? Anything you do to the body mounts will affect their function. Is it really worth that?

Re: 3/4 inch body drop
No body drop is simple, they are alot of work. Just taking 3/4 inch out of the body bushing is definately not advised, as well as it will not fix your bumper mounts for the front and rear (if you are running any). If I was to do it, I would run a bolt in body drop kit by Porterbuilt. New body mounts so you can run a full size body bushings and still get your drop, has tubular crossmembers so have the most clearance, and it fixes the bumper mounting issue. You will still have to body drop the bed, but thas as simple as unbolting the floor, and moving it up the desired amount (just 3/4 of an inch if you are cutting the floor, move it more to keep a stock looking but shallow bed, you will just have to fabricate spacers, no biggie). It will get the pinch weld even with the bottom of the frame, and set it all up correctly.
