My NOS CB Collection

These are my NOS GM CB Radios that I have found and bought over the years. Why do I have three NOS radios you ask...to “Barter” or “sell” someday. The day will come when I will see something that I might want to trade a radio for or maybe I will need the $$$. There has been much debate as to which model CB is correct for which years. The best answer that I can give is...no one really knows as these were purchased at the dealership and not from the factory. The dealership sold what they had on the shelf and being CB correct was not an issue back then. If I had to guess I would say the "black" faced radio is for the 69-70 model years and the faux wood would be correct for the 71-72 model years.
In my 15 plus years of being involved in the truck hobby I have only seen 2 GM CB Power supplies and this is one of the two. No these are not for sale at this time but down the road maybe...Just maybe.

My guess is this radio is for 69-70 model years.

This would be 71-72.

Very cool! I still have the Johnson 23 channel in my 69 that was my Grandpa's ride years ago. I was going thru the paperwork for the truck years ago and found the FCC license card that everyone was suppose to have when you had CB's.
Brings back memories-sure like your set-ups, where did you find them?

I do like the collection you have. Now I know what else to be looking for when I am swap meeting and such.

My question is, on the CBD-10 model. How do these people know what they came out of if it was NIB on Ebay. I decided to take me a gander on there and google, a few that I pulled up on google that said NIB Smokey n the bandit TransAm that sold on EBAY. As everything vintage, I know has a value to a point. But I believe in true marketing if I was to sell. Guess honest people are getting harder and harder to come buy. From what I seen, I would say NIB GM Production CB/Same Model used in Smokey N Bandit TransAm and various other GM vehicle 70's+

If it is NOS or NIB it should have the GM Box with the radio. Also by looking at the Truck brochures --- it will show these particular radios. Different years of trucks used different CB radios. I sold my radios and have gone in a different direction but for those who want to be factory correct...these are the radios of choice. These do show up on ebay once in a while.
Good Luck
