Lowest drop without bags...HELP PLEASE!!

hello again, I went to the POL parts company and love there stuff. But I was set on the LMC slam kit with 4 1/2 front to 5 rear for my '68 C-10. Now, Im confused because POl.com doesn't have such a kit. Just 2 1/2 drop spindle and separate drop springs 1'' 2'' 3''. PLEASE HELP!! I dont plan to use bags at all. My father has MS and he can hardly get into it at stock height. I want him to be able to just slide right in and have it look SUPER LOW. What should I use to have the equivalent of LMC'S slam kit. wehwwww!! Any help is soo appreciated!

Use POL's 2.5" drop spindles and 2" drop springs up front.
Then add a 5" rear spring.
Stay away from LMC.
They make great catelogs,... but there are better suspension companies to buy 67-72 parts from.

Early Classsic Enterprises would be another good choice.
(they sell a 6" rear spring)
Dont forget drop shocks, rear shock relocators and an adjustable track bar.

This is member 72BlckButy's 69 swb with a 4.5/6 drop from ECE.

Mines 5.5 front and 8 rear works great

Get the 4/6 kit from ECE and you won't have any regrets. It will still be plenty low enough and you won't need a c-notch. If you want it lower, you will need to c-notch the rear.

Couldn't agree more! Bags are for groceries...springs are for trucks.

6" rear drop springs and add drop blocks to get desired drop.

....

The only prob is, should you ever intend on hauling anything your truck will be useless, bags will give you the best of both.

I don't agree with that statement.
If you plan on hauling heavy loads,... rear bags will definitely help.
Useless is pretty harsh.

I agree.....but the op was taking about a static drop without bags which will leave it unable to haul heavy loads....and as I said...bags will give the best of both worlds.

only problem with bags is they can bust. my buddies truck is down right now cause of a busted bag. i honestly feel bad cause he cant make it to a car show this weekend so i told him he can ride with me and my springs

Why would I go to the trouble of building this truck if I was going to haul stuff with it?:haha::lol::lol::lol:

It was built to go fast and show off!

I have an '07 Silverado for all that "hauling stuff".

Rather than bags, how about air shocks? Just enough to bring the bag end up when you have a load.

Re: Lowest drop without bags...HELP PLEASE!!

I have air shocks in my S10's rear for this reason, but I hear it's not the smartest thing since the shock mounts weren't designed to take that much load. I have only used them twice, but in almost 2 years the mounts are still in perfect shape. I don't know how different it would be for the heavier C10.

I have 2 1/2 spindles, 2 in drop springs, 3/4 spring cut for 6in front and 5 in drop springs and 2 " blocks for 7 in rear. No c-notch, no problems but I do not haul with my truck. Also have adjustable ride shocks in back for 26 different firmnesses.
