Dupli-Color Paint
 

Hey, this has probly allready been asked, but anybody use duplicolor on their truck? If you do can i see some pics? And is it worth painting my truck with? How many quarts would i need for my reg cab long box?

not worth it at all. it's premixed so no thining and at like $20 or more a quart it just aint worth it. You'd need well over 4 quarts for sure. Normal auto paint is a gallon of paint and 1/2 or full gallon of reducer plus hardner so it ends up over 1-1/2 or 2 sprayable gallons and it is enough to do a truck. So you'd need at least that many quarts which would be 6-8 and that's not cheap, almosty $200 and if you got to summit or the body shop supply store and buy their prepackaged paints it'll be around $150-200 and be a nice automotive grade paint not old school laquer like duplicolor. Plus it will hold up very nice and lay down really shiney or you can sand and buff, the duplicolor takes alot more paint and alot more buffing to make it shiney and stay that way.

If you want cheap try the rustoleum roll on paint jobs, they look nice, but again, gotta thin it, foam roller, let dry, sand, and buff.

It's all in what you want out of your paint job.
If you want cheap then don't expect to get the best finish and durability like a more expensive paint.
Prep work has a lot to do with how well a paint job holds up.
If you want a quick cheap job find Earl Schieb or Macco or something like that to blow on some color for ya.
