drop spindles question

i bought some mcgaughy drop spindles for my tahoe. after putting them on i realized that the spindle doesnt take my rotor, so i called and they sent me the 1 inch rotor instead of the 1.25 rotor. what do i need to do to make the drop spindle work. i have a 98 tahoe.

Re: drop spindles question

Honestly, I would send them back and get the right spindles. You'll need new rotors and bearings for sure. Some say you'll need new calipers and I've heard others say you can re-use your calipers.

If you bought them from a retailer and ordered them for your truck, then they should fix the issue since they screwed up.

Send them back.Take it from me.....do it right, one time.Besides you do not want to put smaller brakes on the front of a vehicle designed for the larger brakes.I had just the opposite problem.

^ This. If you had a truck that came with the small rotors and bought the spindles for the larger rotors, it would be more worth the money and trouble to swap everything over for the spindles, but I wouldn't go backward.

Well, that bites. Throw an extra $25 on 'em and see if you can make a profit.
