Ordered tires Friday at work will be here on Monday... Need to have my drive shaft length changed now since its to short and need to change the pads drums and cylinder in the rear and she might be road ready... If the front is sitting higher than the rear I'm gonna buy some drop spindels... And than in the far future when the coil over kit comes out from Nate I'm gonna get that ;)... Hope it's soon

i did a search for rear mounted tank and couldn't find my answer. is that just a blazer tank? i'd like to relocate mine so i can run my exhaust outside the frame.

You shouldnt have to shorten the drive shaft. The axle pads have a second hole to move it back a bit to make up for the lower ride.

I dont have to shorten it... ive got to lengthen it by 2or3 inches... this isnt the original drive shaft

but my flip kit only had one hole in the U shaped piece

is that hole towards the front?

Yep good stuff DJM makes. I also got their flip kit, shackles, Spindles and lowering springs. While you got the bed off, mind taking some nice pics of the actual flip kit...i forgot to do so when I had mine off. Plenty of guys on here that have the "everyday" flip kit questions. Thx.

I just did the same thing on my 1980 but used the Belltech kit and nitro drop 2 shocks. Went in very nice but my question is should I weld my c notch or are the 8 bolts through the frame good enough?

I also c notched mine. The 5th rig I've c notched with the bolt on kit and no issues. In my opinion you don't have to weld it in but you can for peace of mind.

Yeah its a killer project and yeah the wedding was a little boring so the new smart phone came in handy ;) but here are some pictures im getting new shocks here soon since those ones arent right for the kit but they will work for the time being

The last picture is of the gas tank and how it sit in between my frame rails.

And yes i got all new hardware( grade 8 hardware and new u bolts from LMC) since i used the torch to take them all out even after soaking the bolt heads with WD40 and rust penetrate from work nothing helped at all... Also i only have 2 leaf springs on each side since the previous owner took them off :( so my drop in the rear is possibly more than 5 inch

Ya I love the tank didn't have to do much modification to make it fit just move a bracket and that's it
