5$ 1978 grille facelift/refurbish!
figured id share my 5$ grille re-modeling on my 1978 k20.
2 cans of MIRACAL premium aluminum silver paint(cheap dollar store stuff) 1 can of MIRACAL gloss black paint(cheap Dollar store stuff) and some masking tape from my G-ma haha. I removed the bowtie and strips,washed it and dried it,took quite a while to spray the entire thing the silver evenly nd get all nooks and crannied, taped off and re-painted the black in the strips. and painted the Yellow bowtie black.(dark maroon and black truck)Whats your opinions on the black bowtie? i didnt like the yellow.any opinions welcome;) What do you all think?! http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c2...s/IMAG0345.jpg and heres a neat picture i took today.looks like a bomb from Laughlin(or vegas,same direction) haha. http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c2...s/IMAG0342.jpg |

That grill looks as good as new! Good job and I like the black bowtie.

looks real good man, i too painted the bowtie on my 75 black. have you thought about clear coating it though?

yea ill eventually tape it off and clear coat it.
