I am now a proud owner of a 79 blazer got it off craigslist after several calls and talking. I bought it and had it ship from AZ. it still has the original paint on it motor has been redo trans is out I have a 700r to go in it. I have some parts I've gather up so far. Thought I would post some pics. The body has no rust and under it is rust free.

Wow,you must be happy! That's a real gem in this part of the country. Looks like something that'll come together pretty easy.

Re: finally got it home
Nice find. Don'tcha just love west coast trucks? Its a shame shipping takes such a chunk of money but I guess its a lot cheaper than body work.

Re: finally got it home
those wheels are rare...please keep them

Re: finally got it home
Thanks guys , yell $1000 to ship but then there is no rust to fight. I have manage to work on it some all the insides remove and 3in spindles on now I want to go 2in more so drop springs on the way and flip for the back

Re: finally got it home
ok guys I drop the blazer in the front 3 spindles . I bought some springs for suppose to be 2" drop but were 1"drop . now I did the rear flip the blazer sits about 2" to lowin the back Iknow I could change the springs to the tahoe . It has a brand new set of air shocks on it could shock extender be use and use the air shocks to raise it back up. my thoughts if it didn't hurt the ride . so are all shock extenders the same length or do you get them for a flip. or should i just cut a half coil off the springs and let it down some more .what would the ride be like.

Re: finally got it home
Nice............wish mine would have been in better shape and had a title. A nice start to something that will be the envy of the neighbors

Re: finally got it home
Post up a pic of how it sits right now, need a visual to have an opinion.;) What wheel/tire combo do you plan to run? I'm not a drop expert, but plenty here are and can help you get where you want.

Lolife here are few pics I snap when I got home I will get some pics of the back rear tomorrow. the front is 3in spindle ,1 inch springs back is a flip. front has 255-60-17.back 275-60-17

Re: finally got it home
Good pics.
It would be nice to drop the front more. |
Re: finally got it home
I would drop the front more, but if you like the height in the front and want to raise the rear you could always put some 4x4 hanger brackets on the shackle end. That will bring the rear up about 2"....
