Cheap eBay Headers
While putting new shocks on my pickup the other day, I noticed my passenger side exhaust manifold is cracked. Considering a new one is around $90 from RockAuto, I've got myself convinced to get headers. I know this has been covered before, just wondering if those that have these cheaper headers would let me know how well they like them. May have to go back to turbo mufflers. With headers and glasspacks with no cats, I may go deaf.

Re: Cheap eBay Headers
i have these on my 94 (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Stain...ht_3741wt_1167) bolted right up in place on my manifolds and didn't have to adjust my exhaust at all and headers no cats and glasspacks are loud!

Re: Cheap eBay Headers
I thought that you had gotten some of those. Do you like them so far? Dad tells me not to get headers as he had them on his '81 and he constantly had to re-tighten his bolts. I've never had headers on anything, so wondering if that's true, or if it's just a Dad thing to try to get me not to do it.

Re: Cheap eBay Headers
Cool. Did you have to get different spark plug wires or make any other modifications to get them to work?

Re: Cheap eBay Headers
You kinda get what you pay for with the headers is the one thing I have noticed over the years. I say go for it if you want to since you already got a cracked manifold. The re tightening of the bolts is not something that you have to do all the time. I put my headers on usually and run them a couple weeks and then go tighten them up again then call it good I will check them every once and awhile but other then that no. :D

"bolted right up in place on my manifolds and didn't have to adjust my exhaust at all and headers no cats and glasspacks are loud!" Hi not to jack the thread, did the headers bolt right up to the stock Y pipe?

Re: Cheap eBay Headers
if you want some that bol tin place o fmanifolds NO CUTIING OR WELDING, then DO NOT BUY those in the first link, you want the ball end style they use no gaskets down bottom. I have them, got em from tuning pros on ebay for $122 shipped, polished stainless, been on over a year, only one bolt ever came loose, up top that's it, no rust, discolored right away, no leaks, fit perfect, direct bolt on.
