78 Chevy GMC Tach NOS
 

'78 Chevy GMC truck tach dash with an NOS instrument case. I replaced the instrument case with an NOS piece I had, part # 25017375. The tach does work and comes with a partial tach harness. Printed circiut appears to be good. The lens has scratches and 2 broken tabs, refer to pic's. Over all condition of dash is good.

Again, the case is NOS and has no screw marks on it for fastening it to the dash or the instrument bezel.

I'm very interested in swapping to a tach dash, but have some misc questions. I currently have a low mileage '80 without tach. Is there a way to legally take the tach cluster somewhere and have the odometer changed to match my current one (which is a hair over 30k) or is it DIY? I'm assuming I can re-use the good condition lens from my current cluster (I found some for sale online as well as a last resort but they might be aftermarket junk)? Any other options?
