Is this common feature ...??

...of was this brake assistance device only used on Diesel powered trucks ?
Master vac installations are in use on diesel powered european cars , but this is new to me !
Is this a Hydro-vac ?
It works well anyway , the first time I pushed the brake pedal , I gave a kiss to the windshield...Smak !

It is called Hydro-boost. Uses the power steering pump to get pressure instead of engine vacuum. Diesels don't have vacuum. Yes it is a very common feature for power brakes on diesels.

Yep and GM is using the same set up on 3/4 ton gas trucks now as well. Good idea if you ask me. More consistant breaking.
