Wow awesome site. I was told about this site a week ago by ETsC10 and decided to add some pictures of my 72 burban driving project.
I've been looking for a good 67-72 Suburban for years, in a good price range and not to much rust. I found this one on Craigslist about 6 miles from my house.
I picked this up around February of last year and it was really rough and moldy on the inside with the stock interior and alot of rust in the rockers, quarters and floorboards that I quickly replaced with patch panels. I stripped the inside and cleaned it up, putting in new carpet and seats (changing them out again this summer to a different set with buckets). I painted the panels and added a good steering wheel and a clean gauge face. I still need to put in a headliner. Then replaced the 15x10 Western wheels, rotted front fenders, broken grille, and twisted bumpers (I think this used to haul a canoe beacause of the bolts that were on the old bumpers).
Next project is the exterior. I'm still repairing the rest of the rust plus looking to add the lower trim (if I can find a good set), and lower this land yacht with coils and shocks if and when I could figure out the right drop.
Thanks

Thanks, the front is a bench from a 98 Burb, the center and rear came out of a 02 Astro van. These will be coming out soon, I picked up a complete set out of a 99 burb with the folding and removable rear seats and front buckets so when we need the space.

Nice project you got going on there.

I might have a set of lower molding off my '68. I'll have to look. If I do and they are good, I'll bring them down for you when I pick up my truck. It's just in Burien till next week when I can bring it back up across the boarder.

Re: newbe 72 burb

Silly me...I wasn't thinking at all. My '68 trim is the chrome trim, not the wood panel style. I've got a set of Sierra Grande trim but it'd do you no good unless you wanted to cut it down to the right length. Unless the rear of the burb trim is the same length as the rear bed trim which I have no idea if it is or not.

I'll measure since I have both vehicles beside each other. Might be able to use some of my trim. It's in decent shape too and I don't need it.
