Scrapping the 76 Sunday.....
:waah:
i hate to see it go but me and my buddy are parting out and scrapping his 76 with every silverado 2500 camper special with every option immaginable. rust got the best of the cab/bed.. im pulling the 454, the whole front clip that is like brand new gm replacement panels and bumper and tilt column. the parts are all going on my 85. what all should i snag off it to do a square eye to round eye swap and a small block to big block swap? and dont worry, ill take plenty of pics before and after teardown. |
Re: Scrapping the 76 Sunday.....
pull the wiper linkage and the front frame horns.

Re: Scrapping the 76 Sunday.....
i think you answered you on question take everyone of those options lol but really i would take all the parts that aren't rusted badges latches door handles locks etc and if it were me i would take the glove box door for the build sheet to remember it by

Re: Scrapping the 76 Sunday.....
yea im sad to see her go too.. good cal on the frame mounts and wiped stuff i forgot about that. id get the door panels theyre red with woodgrain trim and silverado badges. its really cool looking but pretty worn out. are the motor mounts the same? and another thing is will my sbc radiator work? i have a big electric fan with no shroud so im not woried about the shrowd i hope my rad cools it..im not sure how the one on the 76 is.

Re: Scrapping the 76 Sunday.....
Make sure you get the radiator, a small block one will work for a while but they blow out.
ASK MY HOW I KNOW! The mounts on the fram for the motor are the same so no need to grab them but you will need the ones on the block |
Re: Scrapping the 76 Sunday.....
well i got her all stripped down today except for the column. i didnt see the post about the motor mounts so i grabbed them anyways and i did get the radiator i took a TON of pictures lets see if i can get them on here..
