Front disc brake upgrade curiousity question?
 

I've been doing so looking around and haven't found much on what I'm looking for, just info for rear brakes upgrades or for older trucks with drum front brakes.

I'm curious if there are upgrades for larger discs/rotors for the front of our trucks. I'm running an '87 Chevy V-10, swapped in 3/4 ton axles from an '85 GMC (10 bolt front, 14 bolt SF rear). Im just curious for now...

Anybody? Anyone done any sort of front disc brake improvement? Not that theres anything wrong with my current setup... just wondered if anyones toyed with it and turned out a safe reliable improvement?

Well I was trying to do a search for you but the site seems to be running really slow lately. Anyway.. there are a couple vendors (either on here or another C10 site) who offer front brake upgrades.. You might want to hit up jon@scottshotrods on here if you have any questions.. always good information (not knocking any of the others).

I have seen a DYI Z06 upgrade along wilwood and McGaughy kits. hope this helps.

Thanks for some leads. However, a light search so far (using your info) turned up alot of stuff aimed at the 2wd half ton market, where my truck is essentially a 3/4 ton 4x4. I'll do some more digging, Im sure theres some more good info to be had with your leads.

No worries, I have found a little bit of useful stuff off your leads already. Found a dual piston caliper upgrade by Wilwood thats advertised to work for my setup. Farther than Ive gotten so far on my own lol. The search goes on lol....
