hesitation in throttle

I have a 2000 Tahoe (old body) with the 5.7 and under acceleration it has a choppy feel like it's not getting fuel. Checked the fuel pressure and it's good. New fuel pump and online filter as well. Unplugged the EGR and it seemed to help out. Any ideas?

Have you taken time to do a basic tune up on it yet?

Yes the 100k plugs are brandnew and so are the wires/cap.

Pull and clean the egr including the mating surface. If that doesn't fix it. either cap it or replace the egr.
