Re: exhaust run

i like the setup how loud is it with muffler at the end and would it be quieter if the muffler was closer to engine. Another thing wherer can i get the adapters to bolt to headers?
thanks

Re: exhaust run

you can get the adapters at a local parts store oreillys is where i got mine from they are flange kits

Re: exhaust run

I don't know if it would be quieter if they were closer to the headers. I put them where they are to keep them tucked up so they wouldn't get torn off out in the desert. It is a little loud in parking garages, but it sounds good in the freeway. A crossover pipe would mellow it out some.

Re: exhaust run

The further back you put the mufflers, the quieter it will be. I have long tube Hooker Super comps going on the BB and will be dumping the exhaust right at the back of the cab with a set of flows. It will be pretty loud and very throaty.

ok so i got uner last night to do some planning and i got another question the crossmember for the tranny is iving me a headache the way it was set up with one pipe was on the driver side it went over the crossmember and it looks like the passenger side would go under the crossmember is that correct im worried if i run them both under when i lower the truck it will hit like speedbumps and what not
