What transfer case do I have?
Can someone tell me how to identify my transfer case?
203, 205, 208... I know the differences between them but how can you tell them apart visually? Posted via Mobile Device |
Re: What transfer case do I have?
The cases should have a tag on them. The 203 and 205 have a cast iron case and the 208 is aluminum.

Re: What transfer case do I have?
The easiest way (to me) is the shift pattern, and case construction. Your truck most likely would have a 208 case. The shift pattern from top is 2hi, 4hi, N, 4 low. The shifter is mounted to the cab floor, instead of to the case itself.
