Crewcab Dually
Are there any crewcab duallys running around here? Im starting to plan my next project and im wanting to build a bagged crewcab using a suburban and a dually from a lwb bed with stepside fenders. I dont really plan on using it for any heavy towing but I like the dually look. Any thoughts or input?

Re: Crewcab Dually
I don't know of any members that have a dually crew, but I do not claim to know what everyone has tucked away. I have seen a couple on Google, one is Lime Green with Orange flames, and the other is Primer Gray. Several members have custom built crew cabs, and a couple are for sale currently on the board. Might save yourself some effort if you were to pick up one of those and modify it to your liking. The two that I know of are both quality builds with strong builders behind the scenes, which is hard to come by.

Re: Crewcab Dually
If it were me, and I wanted to build the same thing, I'd get a newer chevy duramax 4wd dually frame/chasis and set the burb/crewcab body on the newer frame.
With the IFS, I'm pretty sure you can get it down fairly low. |
Re: Crewcab Dually
i was on here the other day and had searched "phantom dually" because i was wondering if someone had made a phantom 67-72 and saw some pics of a burgundy crew dually that i believe was 4wd though.

Re: Crewcab Dually
Some where there are pics on this board of a burb/crew dually slammed in green primer I believe. I think it was still 3 door, but who cares. it was bad azz!

Re: Crewcab Dually
I can live with a 3 door, just think it would be a cool buid because you dont see alot of them.

Re: Crewcab Dually
Check on the Dallas Craigslist I just saw a bagged crew on there yesterday. Would be a good platform to start with.

Ah ok. I was thinking he did most of the hard work on it. If I had the cash I would jump on it. Its a cool idea.

Re: Crewcab Dually
Another board member recently drove from Ks to Tx to trade for that and ended up going home with out it because it wasn't very well built. Just an FYI.

Re: Crewcab Dually
I wonder if the blue one has a diesel in it? If I were to build one thats what I would put in it.

Re: Crewcab Dually
on ebay there may still be a listing for a 1968 4door dually. Punch in 1968 c30 and see if it comes up. It's red and located in Arizona I believe. Awesome truck imo.

This is one of the ones I mentioned, thought it was a crew cab, but extended cab dually with stepside fenders is close right? |
Re: Crewcab Dually
Very Nice!! That is how I would do the fenders.

Not a crew cab, but a cool truck none the less. Of course it is not mine.
