new diesel truck

hi guys i was wondering if anyone could help give me some thoughts on what i would have to do to my new truck i got for 700 bucks today its a 98 crew cab short box 2500 gmc that used to have a 6.5 turbo diesel that wont turn over and had a manual tranny. i am wondering what would it take to swap in like a cummins and tranny from a 90s dodge truck? thanks for any help

hear that is a tough swap. may need to at least lift it. look around for some diesel swap info on the net. great truck with a 6.5t if you want to just drive it. not a big powerhouse.

haha sorry i want a diesel that can put out some power and the 6.5 sadly was not that type of diesel. i would gladly take a duramax if i could find one for cheap only reason i want to do the cummins is because my friend wrecked his and will let me have the engine and crap for free if i pull it out of the truck.
